Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Residential Property Solicitor to join our team at Chadwick Nott Legal Recruitment. As a key member of our property law team, you will be responsible for handling sales and purchases of residential property, including dealing with all SDLT procedures and registration aspects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conveyancing Expertise: Handle sales and purchases of residential property from start to finish, including dealing with all SDLT procedures and registration aspects.
  • Client Handling: Report to the Head of Property in terms of client handling and financial/performance duties.
  • Property Transactions: Deal with sales of property on behalf of Executors, transfer properties for tax planning reasons, and liaise with the family department to implement the property aspects of a consent order.
  • Voluntary First Registrations: Undertake voluntary first registrations on behalf of clients.
  • Reconstituting Titles: Reconstitute titles for clients with missing title deeds.
  • Deeds and Tenancies: Deal with basic Deeds of Covenant and Deeds of Easement, draft Assured Shorthold Tenancies, and handle other residential tenancy-related work.
  • Client Support: Act as a first point of contact for reception for clients with property queries and give telephone quotes.
  • Administrative Tasks: Responsible for the archiving of completed files and storage of deeds.
  • Team Support: Support the Head of Property in any marketing and provide supervision for the more junior members of the team.

Requirements:

We are looking for an experienced Residential Property Solicitor with a solid working knowledge of property law and experience of handling their own case load and dealing with clients and third parties unsupervised. The ideal candidate will have an excellent knowledge of all aspects of residential conveyancing, including procedures for unregistered land.
