We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Production Team Leader to join our Operations & Logistics team at Tech Connect Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the production team, ensuring the delivery of the production plan, and maintaining high standards of quality, health, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and improve team performance, quality standards, and compliance with health & safety regulations.
- Lead and manage the team, handling confidential matters such as absence and performance concerns, and conducting regular one-to-one meetings.
- Oversee the execution of the production plan, collaborating with departments like Planning, Quality, and Logistics to ensure on-time delivery and minimal production loss.
- Champion the use of the company's ERP system (Epicor) within your team, ensuring accurate data management and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including conducting risk assessments and COSHH assessments for your area.
- Lead and participate in problem-solving initiatives, utilizing techniques like PDCA and 5W/2H to identify and resolve production issues.
- Ensure high standards of housekeeping and hygiene through the implementation of a 5S regime.
- Actively promote continuous improvement, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Requirements:
- A proactive and motivated individual with strong leadership skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet production targets.
- Experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally with a background in automotive production or a similar industry.
- Strong communication skills, comfortable conducting team briefs and representing your product area in meetings.
- Proven experience with enterprise resource systems, with a preference for candidates familiar with Epicor.
- Sound understanding of quality conformity requirements and continuous improvement practices within the manufacturing industry.
- A data-driven approach to decision-making, with experience in identifying and addressing root causes of issues.
