About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Communications and Marketing Specialist to contribute to our mission at Cancer Research UK.

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 plus benefits

Reporting to: Senior Communications and Marketing Manager

Contract Type: Permanent

Working Hours: Full time, 35 hours per week

Location: Flexible office-based role with remote working options

Key Responsibilities:
As a Communications and Marketing Specialist, you will play a vital role in:

  • Assisting in the development and execution of communication and marketing strategies aimed at engaging our target audiences, including researchers and business professionals.
  • Creating high-quality, compelling content that aligns with our brand and effectively communicates our initiatives.
  • Promoting content through various channels such as websites, newsletters, and social media.
  • Managing communication platforms, with a focus on newsletters and social media presence.
  • Providing administrative support, including planning activities, producing reports, and liaising with stakeholders.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong written and visual communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent organizational and planning abilities, demonstrating accountability in all tasks.
  • Experience with digital channels and campaigns, with a keen interest in B2B social media.
  • Analytical skills for producing reports and dashboards, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • A passion for our mission and an interest in the biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.
