Residential Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Residential Support Worker to join our dynamic team at a secure, welfare-only, all-female children\u2019s home in Glinton, Peterborough.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to provide individualized support to young people with complex needs. As a Residential Support Worker, you will be a vital part of our team, working closely with colleagues to ensure the well-being and safety of our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to young people, responding effectively to their needs and emotions.
  • Build positive relationships with residents and colleagues, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Develop and maintain accurate records of incidents, reports, and progress, using strong communication skills.
  • Work alternate weekends, bank holidays, and overnight stays (sleepins on a rota basis), demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Participate in physical activities and engage with residents in a way that promotes their physical and emotional well-being.
  • Ensure eligibility and experience requirements are met, including a minimum age of 18 and relevant childcare experience or knowledge of child protection issues and procedures.
  • Hold a NVQ Diploma Level 3 in Children and Young People\u2019s Workforce (CYP) or equivalent qualification.
