Senior Accountant Opportunity

Puro Accountancy is delighted to be supporting an Accountancy practice in Chester in their search for a full-time permanent Senior Accountant to join their friendly well-established team of accountancy professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Client Management: Manage a portfolio of clients, delivering high-quality accounting and tax services.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review annual accounts, tax computations, and VAT returns.
  • Financial Advice: Provide financial advice and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead junior team members, offering training and support as necessary.
  • Special Projects: Assist with special projects and ad-hoc assignments, showcasing flexibility and adaptability.
  • Client Relationships: Cultivate strong client relationships, identifying avenues for business growth and development.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: ACCA or ACA qualified.
  • Experience: Will need ideally at least 3+ years within a UK accountancy firm.
  • Technical Skills: Strong technical knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
  • Software Proficiency: Hold strong experience with Excel, Xero, Sage, Accounting and Taxation software.
  • Personal Qualities: Friendly disposition and a team player.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communicator, comfortable communicating with clients and peers at all levels.
