About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Supply Chain Manager to join our team at Safran Electrical & Power UK. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for directing and managing the Operational Planning, Procurement, and Logistics teams and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the Procurement, Operational Planning & Logistics teams and processes to ensure the right material is in the right place at the right time to meet customer satisfaction.
  • Identify and mitigate risk in the supply base for both quality and delivery performance of suppliers.
  • Ensure demand is provided to and accepted in accordance with suppliers' manufacturing lead-time.
  • Recommend and maintain optimal inventory levels at all stages of the supply chain.
  • Implement preventative actions at the source of root cause.
  • Evaluate and escalate any commercial issues and disputes to the purchasing department at Safran Group level.
  • Develop and implement delivery models to support inventory optimization and maximize material availability.

Requirements

  • Supply chain or purchasing degree, or CIPS qualification preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop teams in terms of skill, performance, and maturity.
  • Project and supplier management experience beneficial.
  • Proven experience in liaising with suppliers at senior level.
  • Experience in logistics management and international shipping.
  • Strong team leadership and managerial experience.
  • Evidence of written English at interview stage.
