Job Summary

Velindre Cancer Centre is seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead our clinical services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing direct clinical and line management of our acute assessment unit, ambulatory care unit, immunotherapy toxicity nursing service, and brachytherapy nursing service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical assessment and direct the management of patients on a daily basis.
  • Access research and use information systems to inform practice and lead on relevant research within the service.
  • Demonstrate clear principles of teaching and learning, and support others to develop through expert teaching and mentorship skills.
  • Take strategic leadership and operational management of the service, including policy and service development.
  • Be clinically accountable for clinical service delivery and manage and develop clinical staff.

Requirements
  • Professional registration and a Master's degree relevant to the area of clinical practice.
  • Advanced specialist knowledge of patient pathways and independent prescribing qualification (if required for the role).
  • Extensive post-registration clinical experience in advanced practice within the speciality area.
  • Proven track record of working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and experience of teaching within a wide multi-professional audience.
