Exciting Temporary Opportunity in Northampton

Macildowie Recruitment and Retention are working with a dynamic business in Northampton to find an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to support with a short-term absence.

This is a 3-month minimum temporary role to assist with invoice processing and prevent a backlog from building up. The ideal candidate will be able to hit the ground running and work independently from day one.

The role is based in the office, working Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 5:00, with flexibility available for the right person. The salary for this role is up to £15 per hour, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Processing purchase invoices onto the COINS system
  • Ensuring accurate and timely processing of purchase invoices
  • Handling approval procedures with diligence
  • Resolving discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receipts
  • Collaborating with other departments to gather necessary information and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Providing support to the team as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience in purchase ledger or accounts administration
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in COINS or similar accounting systems
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
