Pay Rate: £215.13

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Coordinator to join our team in the WCR4 area. As an SEN Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that students with special educational needs receive the support and resources they require to thrive.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the SEN provision across the school to ensure high standards of teaching and learning for all SEN students.
  • Conduct assessments to identify students' special educational needs and monitor their progress regularly.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalized educational plans (PEPs) in collaboration with teachers and parents.
  • Provide training and support to classroom staff regarding best practices in inclusive education.
  • Work closely with external agencies and professionals to coordinate additional support for students with SEN.
  • Facilitate communication between parents, staff, and external agencies to maintain strong partnerships.
  • Monitor and track the effectiveness of SEN programs and interventions, providing reports to school leadership.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant SEN qualifications or training.
  • Proven experience working with children with special educational needs in an educational setting.
  • Deep knowledge of relevant SEN legislation, educational frameworks, and best practices.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and support staff.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders, including parents, teachers, and external agencies.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on new trends in special education.
