About the Role

As an Area Manager at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Fulfilment Centres. You will be responsible for leading a team of professionals who are dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a High-Performing Team: You will be responsible for managing a team of professionals who are responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our Fulfilment Centres.
  • Drive Safety and Quality Initiatives: You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining safety and quality initiatives that meet Amazon's high standards.
  • Improve Operational Efficiency: You will be responsible for identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes that will drive productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: You will work closely with other teams, including management-level colleagues, to standardize shift practices and drive operational excellence.
A Day in the Life

As an Area Manager, you will work on a shift pattern at one of our Fulfilment Centres, ensuring that it is running as efficiently as possible. Your main focus will be to own and drive a culture of safety and uphold quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.

About the Team

Our Customer Fulfilment team is the backbone of Amazon's operations. We are a dynamic and fast-paced team that is responsible for handling over 1.5 million orders every day. We are committed to delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: You must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Relevant Experience: You must have relevant experience in people management and using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.
  • High Proficiency in English: You must have high proficiency in English language.
