About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Planning and Forecasting expert to join our Commercial Development team at Utility Warehouse. As a key partner in our growth journey, you will be responsible for developing and leading the delivery of the commercial forecasting and planning function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Developing the strategy for and leading the delivery of the commercial forecasting and planning function with increasing effectiveness and sophistication.
  • Coordinating the creation of the cross-functional annual growth plan using business insights, market trends, and historic data to identify growth opportunities and achievable growth targets.
  • Ensuring close linkages with Finance and the P&Ls to inform and be informed for the associated budgets and plans.
  • Identification of opportunities and risks to the plan and working with channel and business owners to mitigate them.
  • Support and drive the annual Commercial Growth planning process as part of the broader Utility Warehouse planning process.
  • Developing & leading ongoing run rate modelling and real-time re-forecasting process.
  • Building and maintaining effective relationships with key stakeholders with particular focus on finance and delivering to the P&L in line with the forecasts.
  • Drive organisational continuous improvement and change to support business growth and value delivery.
  • Collaborate with Senior Management and key stakeholders in the development of strategies and supporting each channel and service area in the development of its own forecasting capability.
  • Building the integrity of our commercial data, informing our routes to market and commercial choices.
  • Supporting/Running the weekly Trading meeting.
  • Leading and managing a team of one direct report and cross-functional support areas.
