Job Title: Human Resources Advisor

Everest People Solutions is seeking a skilled Human Resources Advisor to join our team. As an HR Advisor, you will play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of HR functions, providing clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage employee absence and sickness, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Update job requirements and job descriptions for all positions, maintaining the work structure.
  • Engage with employees to foster a collaborative and flexible culture, promoting employee well-being and development.
  • Ensure effective planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee performance, training managers to coach and discipline employees.
  • Promote equality and diversity as integral parts of the company culture, ensuring a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Recruit staff, developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientations, fostering a positive attitude toward company goals and objectives.
  • Investigate and conduct disciplinary hearings, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies.
  • Maintain personnel files and employee records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Interpret and advise on employment law, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and legislation.
  • Handle grievances and implement disciplinary procedures, maintaining a fair and respectful work environment.
  • Educate and develop managers, supervisors, and charge hands on HR law, promoting a culture of compliance and best practice.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in food manufacturing is desirable.
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence others.
  • Approachable and accessible, with a patient and diplomatic approach.
  • Skilled in negotiation and conflict management, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Numerically proficient, with strong administrative and IT skills.
  • Motivational abilities, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Team-oriented, with a supportive attitude towards colleagues.
  • Patient, with high integrity and sensitivity.
