Overview:
Everest People Solutions is seeking an HR Advisor to support the day-to-day operations of HR functions, providing clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Manager. As HR Advisor, you will be responsible for compiling and updating employee absence records, monitoring Bradford Factor Points, and processing documentation related to staffing, recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Absence and Sickness: Oversee the management of employee absences, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed and that employees receive the necessary support.
- Maintain Work Structure: Update job requirements and job descriptions for all positions, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Engage with Employees: Foster a collaborative and flexible culture that allows employees to achieve their full potential and contribute to the company.
- Ensure Effective Planning: Plan, monitor, and appraise employee performance, training managers to coach and discipline employees effectively.
- Promote Equality and Diversity: Promote equality and diversity as integral parts of the company culture, ensuring that all employees feel valued and respected.
- Recruit Staff: Recruit staff, including developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
- Plan and Conduct Orientations: Plan and conduct new employee orientations to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
- Investigate and Conduct Disciplinary Hearings: Investigate and conduct disciplinary hearings, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.
- Maintain Personnel Files: Maintain personnel files and employee records, ensuring that they are accurate and up-to-date.
- Interpret and Advise on Employment Law: Interpret and advise on employment law, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Handle Grievances: Handle grievances and implement disciplinary procedures, ensuring that all necessary procedures are followed.
- Educate and Develop Managers: Educate and develop managers, supervisors, and charge hands on HR law, ensuring that they are equipped to manage their teams effectively.
- Plan and Deliver Training: Plan and occasionally deliver training, including inductions for new staff.
Requirements:
- Previous Experience: Previous experience in food manufacturing is desirable.
- CIPD Qualified: CIPD qualified or equivalent.
- Strong Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
