Electrical Systems Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at OX Delivers, a social impact automotive start-up. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and developing the electrical systems for our trucks, which will be used in rural emerging markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems for our trucks, ensuring they meet technical regulations and are suitable for production at scale.
  • Work with our truck teams to create and integrate electrical systems, defining required electrical and electronics hardware, and creating harness layouts.
  • Support electrical installation, test, and diagnostics of electrical systems, and ensure issue resolution.
  • Manage technical activities carried out by external suppliers for design, development, and production.
  • Optimize technical solutions within time and budget constraints, and contribute to due diligence for safety-critical aspects of the truck.
  • Project fault reporting and ensuring issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Requirements:

  • Self-motivated to develop, drive, and deliver the Electrical system remit.
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player.
  • Communicates and demonstrates progress towards the end goal.
  • Confidence and knowledge to raise issues and develop solutions.
  • Relatively comfortable operating in a fluid, changing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Methodical and measured approach.
  • Initiative to find ways to achieve/deliver what is required.

Desirable:

  • Solidworks Electrical or similar software.
