About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious qualified social worker to take on the role of Service Manager at one of our residential family assessment centres. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the assessment and support services based at the centre.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take overall responsibility for the assessment and support services based at the centre.
  • Ensure a high standard of social work practice within the centre and that staff are clear about their responsibilities and duties.
  • Take lead and management responsibility for overseeing specific assessments, including reading of court papers, planning and reviewing the assessment, supporting keyworkers to compile reports, and supporting keyworkers in giving evidence at Court.
  • Attend and support weekly staff meetings, and facilitate and guide the family work discussions and case analysis.

About You:

  • Qualified social worker with experience in supporting families where there have been issues of child abuse/neglect.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading, supporting and managing a team.
  • Highly effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to remain level-headed in a pressurised environment.
