Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

NHS Professionals is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist who can provide highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions to support patients' needs. The successful candidate will efficiently manage a caseload to formulate and implement strategies to meet patient goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions to support patients' needs.
  • Manage a caseload to formulate and implement strategies to meet patient goals.
  • Work within or alongside a multi-disciplinary team to effectively assess and intervene with patients' psychological needs.
  • Mentor, supervise, and teach qualified and unqualified staff, including students.

Requirements:

  • BSc Psychology (or equivalent recognised by BPS) and post-graduate doctorate training or statement of equivalence from BPS.
  • Doctoral level training in Clinical, Counselling, or Health Psychology.
  • Ability to effectively manage a clinical caseload alongside other professional responsibilities.
  • Experience of working with MDT teams in a medical setting.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences and convey complex and sensitive information.
  • Interest in or experience of working with people with gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Knowledge of risk assessment within medical settings.
