Job Purpose and Objectives

Ainscough Crane Hire is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to cover the Kent region. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with a portfolio of Managed Account Customers, covering major projects and framework revenues within the area operating model to achieve budgets and grow revenue profitably.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and analyze key business sectors to present plans and forecast future goals and targets.
  • Effectively manage sales leads from across the business and ensure the targeted number of appointments and meetings is met or exceeded in line with targeted KPI objectives.
  • Achieve predetermined monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in line with specific pricing guidelines.
  • Negotiate contracts and framework agreements with new clients within agreed parameters.
  • Provide regular updates and forecasts on pipeline, projects, and frameworks to the Regional Sales Manager.
Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have prior sales experience and a proven ability to influence and negotiate. A technical sales background is preferred, although an understanding of the crane hire market is helpful but not essential. The successful candidate will be a high achiever who is career-oriented and likes to work to challenging goals.

Requirements
  • Prior sales role(s) and proven influencing and negotiation ability.
  • An understanding of the crane hire market is helpful but not essential.

  • Educated to A-Levels.
  • IT literate and familiar with Microsoft office products, particularly PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Desirable construction-related sector experience.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to write articulate and effective proposals and reports in response to customer needs.
  • Ability to deliver value-added presentations to clients.
  • Ability to negotiate and build strong relationships.
  • Strong customer focus and a deep understanding of customer relationships and business processes.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues and to collate and analyze data - PC literate.
  • Ability to work under pressure, be self-motivated, committed to meeting deadlines (self-imposed and external), and to manage multiple requirements and demands effectively.
  • Demonstrates the ability to understand customer needs and can get things done.
