Job Title: Event Production Specialist

At 696 DSC Corporate Services, we are seeking a highly skilled Event Production Specialist to join our team. As an Event Production Specialist, you will play a critical role in planning and executing sporting events, ensuring seamless technical support and collaboration with production teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to Eurosport & TNT Sports Production teams during event planning stages.
  • Collaborate with production and other departments to ensure requirements are met.
  • Design and propose technical solutions as needed.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to all.
  • Provide technical support onsite at events to production teams.
  • Offer remote onsite technical support and information to other departments.
  • Work with regional centers to ensure best practices for regional productions.
  • Liaise with onsite service providers to maintain satisfactory technical standards.
  • Create and update documentation for use on the same sport.
  • Contribute to improvements in remote events within the Sport Technology group.
  • Evaluate and assess new technologies and equipment as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a broadcast environment, with a background in broadcast or network engineering.
  • Experience working on major sporting events is essential, with a willingness to work non-traditional hours.
  • A good understanding of the production process and requirements of a sports production team.
  • Experience working with production departments is necessary.
  • Ability to build effective working relationships within and across departments.
  • Good working knowledge of digital and IP broadcast technologies, and their implementation.
  • Knowledge of equipment used within the ETT infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of SMPTE 2110 and AES 67.
  • Standard office IT skills, including MS Office and MS Visio.
  • Self-motivation and ability to advance events/projects without supervision.
  • Ability to handle multiple workflows and prioritize responsibilities in a changing environment.
  • Excellent presentational and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of workflows and processes in OTT platforms, including linear and non-linear, and alignment with Discovery+.
  • Previous experience with umbrella control systems, such as BNCS, is an advantage.
  • System drawing skills are beneficial.
  • Knowledge or training in project management and project management tools.
  • Familiarity with current health and safety regulations and training relevant to the broadcast environment.

This role is advertised as a hybrid work model, combining remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
