About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team in a prison setting. As a Graduate Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and psychologically informed interventions to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess care needs and develop programmes of care under the supervision of registered mental health practitioners.
  • Deliver mental health care interventions under agreed levels of supervision.
  • Support patients to adopt health promotion strategies and apply principles of self-care.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet the needs of patients and liaise with other professionals to provide holistic care and treatment.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as psychology or criminology.
  • Experience of working with people with mental health needs and delivering mental health interventions.
  • Ability to work in a prison or community setting.
