About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team in a prison setting. As a Graduate Mental Health Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and psychologically informed interventions to individuals experiencing mental health difficulties.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess care needs and develop programmes of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Deliver mental health care under agreed levels of supervision, focusing on promoting wellbeing and independence.
  • Liaise with colleagues and other professionals to provide holistic care and treatment.
  • Support the delivery of timely access to integrated services, enabling individuals to improve their well-being and functioning.
Person Specification
  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant field, such as psychology or criminology.
  • Experience of working with individuals with mental health needs, delivering mental health interventions, and signposting for mild to moderate mental illness.
  • Working in a prison or community setting.
