Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Engineer to join our National Response Team at FPR Group. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality field-based technical expertise to our customers across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to customers in the field, ensuring prompt and efficient resolution of technical issues.
  • Conduct site visits to diagnose and repair electrical and electromechanical equipment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of technical support.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements, applying this knowledge to improve technical expertise and services offered.

Requirements

  • Good technical electrical/electronics skills, with a minimum HNC or similar qualification in electromechanical/electrical engineering.
  • Experience in a field service role, with a strong understanding of customer service principles, including commissioning, repairs, and servicing.
  • PLC programming and knowledge of PC hardware are advantageous.
  • Excellent PC literacy and problem-solving skills.
  • A full current UK driving license is required.
  • Flexibility to work overtime, including weekends, as required.

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, with a realistic salary of £45,000+.
