Position: IT Risk Management Specialist

Department Overview

As an IT Risk Management Specialist at Universities Superannuation Scheme, you will have ample opportunities for professional development within our extensive pension framework. Role Summary

In this role, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a primary assurance function aimed at improving oversight and validating the effectiveness of IT systems and controls. Your key duties will involve pinpointing control deficiencies, implementing corrective measures, and systematically monitoring and documenting controls for various reporting and compliance needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the Risk Advocate for IT Financial Management
  • Coordinate all IT Audit activities
  • Monitor and report on IT Audit follow-up actions
  • Oversee the IT Disaster Recovery strategy and testing
  • Create and maintain recovery documentation and business continuity strategies
  • Manage IT Policies and ensure timely updates to controls
  • Develop a comprehensive assurance framework for IT governance
  • Evaluate and validate critical IT and Policy controls
  • Generate compliance reports and updates for various Committees
  • Conduct independent evaluations of IT processes and controls
