We are partnered with a dynamic, forward-thinking FinTech in their search for a Technology Risk & Assurance Specialist to be responsible for oversight of first-line risk management activities across Technology, ensuring strategic and operational objectives are met and are underpinned by prudent and cost-effective controls.
This role can be home-based for the majority of the time with very occasional travel to the office.
- Provide challenge, support, and guidance to the Technology leadership team on risk and control requirements to ensure conformance to the requirements of the Bank's Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Oversight completion of Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSAs) at predefined intervals.
- Supporting the Technology leadership team with standardising first-line control testing activities.
- Provide first-line oversight and challenge of operational risk events to ensure corrective and preventative actions are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and testing of business continuity, resilience, and disaster recovery plans.
- Function as an internal communications advisor on business control to ensure the Bank's culture and strategy is consistently communicated across Technology and risk ownership and accountability is strengthened.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide first-line monitoring and analysis of KPIs/KIs and Risk Appetite Metrics (RAMs).
- Coordinate and support delivery of important risk management initiatives.
- Support in the design and delivery of first-line risk-related training and awareness programs.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Experience in risk management, business controls, continuity, resilience, or a related field within the banking industry (preferred but not compulsory).
- Strong background working within a technology environment.
- Understanding of the Financial Services sector with specific focus on Banking (deposits/lending).
- Sound capability in strategic thinking, developing solutions, and effective business planning.
