Job Overview

We are looking for a skilled and newly qualified professional to join our Private Tax division at Evelyn Partners. This team is dedicated to managing annual tax compliance tasks for a diverse range of clients.

As a Tax Compliance Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the team responsible for client compliance, planning, and conducting routine assessments as well as contributing to practice development. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified tax expert to advance their career within a dynamic team.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, which may include sole proprietors, partners, high-net-worth individuals, non-UK residents, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Ensure the comprehensive administration of the portfolio, covering all compliance aspects, including accounts, tax returns, and tax calculations.
  • Identify potential planning opportunities for clients.
  • Prepare detailed reports for clients.
  • Participate in client meetings.
  • Address client inquiries and provide guidance regarding their personal tax matters.

Qualifications for Success

  • Experience in a professional services environment.
  • Strong understanding of private client tax issues, including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trusts.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines for compliance and advisory projects.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and committed to continuous learning while being a collaborative team member.
  • Experience in managing people is a plus.

Professional Credentials

  • Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser.
