Purpose of the RoleComic Relief has a long history of engaging the public in our flagship campaigns, Red Nose Day and Sports Relief. In our 40th year, we're re-imagining our integrated fundraising marketing approach and programme.
The role will support, develop, and implement marketing strategies for multiple fundraising campaigns and initiatives in support of organisational income and engagement objectives, crucial in helping us achieve our goal of a 'Just World Free From Poverty'.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute marketing plans for agreed fundraising campaigns and initiatives, working closely with colleagues to identify marketing requirements.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising Creative Lead to develop campaign and marketing briefs for internal delivery teams and external agencies.
- Work with stakeholders to define how marketing activities will contribute to fundraising goals.
- Implement agreed plans effectively, working with digital fundraising experts.
- Track and report on performance, identifying areas for improvement.
- Participate in and lead aspects of business planning cycles.
- Stay up-to-date with the fundraising marketplace, identifying opportunities.
- Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting diversity and inclusivity.
- Line manage, coach, and develop the Fundraising Marketing Manager.
- Provide balanced feedback and support professional development.
- Ensure regular communication with staff.
- Model an inclusive leadership style.
- Knowledge of fundraising campaigns and digital fundraising channels.
- Experience in developing marketing planning and delivery approaches.
- Experience of planning marketing activity for campaigns.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Project management experience.
- A self-starter with proven ability to work independently.
- Ability to understand risks and dependencies within a project.
