Job Title: Residential Support Worker
Location: Nationwide
Salary: £24,850 - £28,475
Earnings: £28,275 - £32,100 (based on 7 sleep ins per month)
Hours: 40.5 per week plus sleep ins (paid at £45 per night)
Shift Pattern: 1 shift on, 2 shifts off (Shifts start at 07:30am followed by a sleep in)
About Us: Hexagon Care Services is a leading provider of residential childcare services, operating over 50 children's homes, 5 crisis intervention services, and 14 schools across England.
Job Description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality support to young people in a residential care setting, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Participate in shift work, including evenings, weekends, and sleep ins, to ensure 24/7 care and support.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including psychologists and therapists, to deliver effective care and interventions.
Requirements:
- Experience working in a residential care setting, preferably with children or young adults.
- Ability to work effectively in a team, demonstrating excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capacity to manage challenging behaviors and provide emotional support to young people.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including sleep ins, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
