About the Role

We are seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our team as SEND Support Assistants. As a SEND Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with barriers to learning in a variety of settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting individuals with SEND in a 1:1 or group setting
  • Managing challenging behaviour and developing strategies to promote positive outcomes
  • Assisting with the completion of assigned work and promoting independence
  • Supporting socialisation and helping individuals overcome social barriers
  • Working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for children

Requirements:

  • Background in education or a passion for supporting children with SEND
  • Experience working with children with SEND or a willingness to learn and develop skills
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviour and develop strategies to promote positive outcomes
  • Flexibility to travel to different school settings
  • Team Teach or Moving and Handling Training is preferred but not required
