Residential Support Worker

GSL Education's South Yorkshire Branch is seeking dedicated individuals to join our Residential Team as Residential Support Workers. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work with children aged 5-18 who require support with emotional trauma, learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with other professionals to ensure each child's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
- Maintain open and effective communication with children, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe and secure living environment.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork, including incident forms, medication administration records, logbooks, and handover sheets.
- Organize and participate in recreational and educational activities that promote social skills, personal growth, and community involvement.
- Support and guide children in managing their emotions and behaviours.
Essential Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in a care setting with children in the UK.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to engage with residents.
- Relevant qualification in childcare or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
