Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Officer plays a crucial role in maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality within our operations. This position involves overseeing various quality assurance tasks and ensuring compliance with internal protocols.


Key Responsibilities
  • Execute daily responsibilities as directed by the QA Supervisor and Manager.
  • Assess and confirm the quality checks of products received from suppliers.
  • Monitor all refrigeration units and dry storage areas in production and warehouse, ensuring adherence to FIFO, batch codes, expiry dates, and allergen segregation.
  • Conduct audits across kitchen and operational areas, ensuring all documentation is current, temperature controls are regularly performed and recorded, and cleanliness standards are met. Verify personal hygiene practices among staff in vegetable preparation, butchery, and pot washing areas.
  • Assist the international QA team in various locations as required.
  • Ensure that production staff adhere to internal safety regulations to prevent incidents.
  • Prepare and submit daily reports to the Quality Assurance Supervisor detailing incidents, issues, solutions, and general production updates.

  • Ability to foster strong relationships with colleagues, providing mentorship and motivation to enhance team performance.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English.
  • Adaptable thinker, making informed decisions efficiently and managing change effectively.
  • In-depth knowledge of departmental operations, with a hands-on approach to driving improvements.
  • HACCP & Food Hygiene Certification required.
  • BSc in Food Science or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong capabilities in data management and reporting.
