Job Title: Advertising Sales Director

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advertising Sales Director to lead our revenue growth efforts for one of our flagship titles. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, introducing innovative revenue strategies, and ensuring optimal yields to maximize group profitability.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a self-motivated individual who thrives on forging new business relationships while nurturing existing accounts. You will work closely with our editorial team to ensure both parties are fully up to date with market events and key personnel. An involvement in the editorial flat-plan for each issue is also required to ensure customer satisfaction as far as possible on the positioning of advertising.

Key Responsibilities
  • Seek out and cultivate new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Build and manage new and existing client relationships, both in-person and virtually, to expand market share and drive revenue for the magazine and its website.
  • Exceed sales targets and KPIs to expand market share and drive revenue for the magazine and its website.
  • Stay abreast of market trends to uncover emerging opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
  • Champion the magazine through creative, high-impact promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with internal creative and editorial teams, managing timelines and budgets to ensure timely delivery of advertisement copy.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in sales and target achievement, with a strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.
  • Strong market knowledge and persuasive presentation skills, with the ability to build and manage client relationships.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a science-based field, with a focus on sales and revenue growth.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities, with the ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with production processes and advertising best practices, with a focus on digital advertising systems, trends, and strategies.
