Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team Leader

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Paediatric Occupational Therapist Team Lead to join our Paediatric Service in Argyll and Bute HSCP. This is a permanent position, working 37 hours per week.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing professional and clinical leadership, management, support, and supervision to ensure the service provided makes optimal use of available resources and adheres to best practice.
You will be expected to deliver an efficient and effective community-based Occupational Therapy Service to children and young people in the most suitable location, such as their home, clinical setting, nursery, or school. This will require close collaboration with parents and colleagues from Health, Education, Social Work, and the Voluntary Sector.
To be eligible for this role, you must hold a degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). A postgraduate qualification in Management and/or Leadership is desirable. You should possess a flexible and adaptable approach to work, with highly specialist experience in a paediatric setting, preferably with community experience. Excellent communication and team working skills are essential.

NHS Scotland is committed to reducing its full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment reflect the new working hours.
