Job Summary

NHS Scotland is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Paediatric Service in Argyll and Bute HSCP. The successful candidate will provide professional and clinical leadership, management, support, and supervision to ensure the service provided makes best use of available resources and is in line with best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide an efficient and effective community-based Occupational Therapy Service to children and young people in the most appropriate location.
  • Work closely and collaboratively with parents and colleagues from Health, Education, Social Work, and the Voluntary Sector.
  • Lead a small team of Occupational Therapists working across the whole of Argyll and Bute.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification to Masters Level or equivalent in Management and/or Leadership (desirable).
  • Highly Specialist experience in a paediatric setting.
  • Community experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and team working skills.
