Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Director to lead our Specialist Services division. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and outcomes for our patients.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and direction to the division, ensuring that clinical care pathways are enabled to deliver national and local strategies.
  2. Service Development: Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the division, in partnership with the Trust's leadership team.
  3. Financial Management: Oversee the financial position of the division, ensuring that services are provided within the agreed financial envelope.
  4. Quality Improvement: Lead on quality improvement initiatives, including clinical audit and benchmarking, to drive continuous improvement in services.
  5. Communication: Represent the Trust in key clinical commissioning forums, including the Sussex Clinical Senate and the ICB.
  6. Research and Audit: Lead on the development of research and audit strategies and implementation plans within services.
Requirements:

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director who can demonstrate:

  • Strong clinical leadership and management skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic plans
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience of working in a similar role or at a senior level in the NHS
