Role Responsibilities:

The Mechanical Engineer role is essential to Osbit's achievements. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be technically proficient and equally motivated. You will take ownership of your projects from inception to completion, working collaboratively with your team to navigate challenges effectively. With the offshore wind sector expanding rapidly, there are numerous projects to engage with, providing opportunities to make a significant impact on our business results. You should be prepared to immerse yourself in your work, combining technical skills with effective communication and creative problem-solving to ensure we deliver projects On Spec, to Budget, and In Time.

Your Key Duties Include:

  • Contributing to the design of innovative systems from initial concepts to detailed specifications while ensuring technical excellence.
  • Facilitating timely project delivery through effective management of your assigned deliverables.
  • Overseeing supplier progress, conducting regular meetings, and providing on-site support as needed.
  • Creating technical documentation and design calculations for peer evaluation, as well as reviewing third-party documents.
  • Preparing for and executing testing, commissioning, and mobilization activities.
  • Coordinating with other departments, including finance and HSSEQ, for necessary support and guidance.
  • Sharing your expertise and insights with colleagues in working groups and presentations when applicable.

Qualifications:

We welcome candidates with varying levels of experience, from recent graduates to seasoned professionals. Essential qualifications include:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in a technical discipline such as Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Marine Engineering, or Naval Architecture.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor software.
  • Experience with hand calculations, as well as familiarity with Staad and FEA.

Additional Information:

  • Successful candidates will be based at our headquarters, with occasional site work as required.
  • Travel may be necessary to engage with customers, suppliers, and support assembly programs.
  • This role offers the possibility of hybrid working arrangements.
