Job Title: Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our team in providing out-of-hospital services to patients in the Orpington/Bromley areas.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and dedicated nurse to work for one of the UK's leading healthcare providers. As a Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a community setting, working closely with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver therapy services for children, young people, and adults.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients and team members, promoting a culture of excellence and quality care.
  • Undertake appraisals and ensure team compliance with BHC policy and procedure guidelines, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Display a person-centred approach, adhering to service criteria to ensure quality standards and delivery of care for patients.
  • Develop safe clinical skills in a community setting, proactively managing high-intensity users of health and social care services with multiple co-morbidities and pharmacy, social, medical, and nursing needs.
  • Undertake nursing procedures, catheterisation, phlebotomy, IV therapy, cannulation, respiratory care, nebuliser weaning, and NEWS2 assessment in patients' homes.
  • Proactively monitor and manage patient caseloads, making sound clinical autonomous decisions about patient care and seeking support from colleagues as appropriate.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience/knowledge in respiratory assessment and care.
  • Experience in the care of frailty patients, including cannulation skills and chest auscultation.
  • Specialist assessments, such as continence assessments and digital rectal examinations.
  • Experience of clinical audit.
  • Community or acute nursing experience.
  • Experience of working in/with a multi-disciplinary team.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of £38,762 - £45,765 per annum, inclusive of HCAS per annum pro rata.
