Job Title: Deputy Care Manager

Main Purpose of the Job:

To lead the care team with professionalism, ensuring a safe, effective, and efficient care service that meets the needs of service users. This role involves building the business with new packages of care and maintaining the reputation of Rysvil Care Services.

You Report to: Registered Manager, Care Manager, Lead Professional

Main Tasks of the Job:

  1. Ensure all RCS policies and procedures are incorporated into practice.
  2. Develop and coordinate healthcare programs.
  3. Manage client case management and education.
  4. Recruit and train staff, and create rota schedules on Care Berry System.
  5. Liaise with local authorities, community organizations, and maintain good relationships with stakeholders.
  6. Ensure all activities meet the required standards.
  7. Plan and utilize resources, staying updated with clinical knowledge to ensure clients receive the best care.
  8. Accept and process changes to existing care packages.
  9. Ensure shifts, calls, and working patterns meet the needs of the company, clients, and staff.
  10. Ensure adequate cover is available for sickness, absenteeism, or holidays.
  11. Work with the Care Manager, care coordinator, and Recruitment to pre-empt recruitment needs.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to ensure high-quality service provision.
  13. Keep accurate records on the system, ensuring all data is up-to-date and relevant.
  14. Be on-call on a rota basis.
  15. Conduct staff spot checks, supervisions, and customer reviews in accordance with company policy.
  16. Work with healthcare professionals to maintain clients' health and wellbeing.
  17. Record, investigate, and report complaints in a timely manner.
  18. Conduct monthly audits of customer report notes and MAR Charts, highlighting issues and speaking to staff about concerns.
  19. Ensure complaints, incidents, and accidents are logged and actioned in the designated time frame.
  20. Keep clients' files up-to-date in the office, in clients' homes, compliance folders, and Matrix.
  21. Engage actively in supervision and appraisal.
  22. Attend training on a regular basis to meet company requirements.
  23. Work in accordance with company mobile phone and IT policies.

Data Protection: Respect the confidentiality of information in line with the Data Protection Act, handling data fairly and lawfully, and using it only for specified purposes.
