Job Overview

2nd Line Support Engineer

Location: Hampshire - hybrid working with customer site visits

Salary: Up to £35,000 + company vehicle

Join a forward-thinking technology organization at a pivotal moment of growth. We are seeking a dedicated 2nd Line Support Engineer to deliver exceptional service to our clients throughout the UK. The ideal candidate will possess extensive technical expertise in Microsoft environments, VoIP systems, and networking.

This position offers a hybrid working model, requiring occasional travel to client locations. A valid driving license is mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues at a second line level across diverse technologies.
  • Provide on-site technical assistance while ensuring effective communication with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Engage in various project activities, including server and network setup and configuration.
  • Uphold high standards of documentation, including the development of training resources for first-line support personnel.
  • Be accountable for documenting escalated technical challenges.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Expertise in Azure, Active Directory, Office 365, Windows Server, Microsoft SQL Server, and SharePoint.
  • Experience with antivirus solutions, data backup, networking, telephony, and end-user support.
  • Strong proficiency in Windows operating systems and Office applications.
  • Familiarity with remote deployment, VoIP technologies, firewalls, and networking concepts.
  • Excellent communication and analytical problem-solving abilities.
