Position Overview:
TSR Legal is seeking a highly skilled Senior Title Examination Specialist to join our innovative team dedicated to legal process outsourcing in title examination. This fully remote role is pivotal in our conveyancing department, ensuring excellence in title examination across various property types, including freehold, leasehold (with shared ownership), and new developments. The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in conveyancing and a robust background in executing thorough title examinations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform comprehensive title examinations for properties across diverse tenure types, including freehold, leasehold (with shared ownership), and new developments.
  2. Analyze property deeds, contracts, land registry documents, and other pertinent legal records to ascertain ownership and identify any encumbrances or restrictions.
  3. Detect potential issues and risks associated with property titles, providing informed recommendations to the conveyancing team and clients.
  4. Work collaboratively with solicitors, real estate professionals, clients, and other stakeholders to gather essential information and clarify title-related inquiries.
  5. Ensure all title examination processes comply with legal and regulatory standards, maintaining the utmost accuracy and adherence to compliance.
  6. Stay informed on developments in property law, regulations, and industry best practices relevant to title examinations.
  7. Draft detailed title examination reports that present clear and concise findings for the conveyancing team and clients.
  8. Support the conveyancing team in resolving title-related challenges and offer expert advice throughout the property transaction process.
  9. Utilize legal software and tools effectively to enhance and streamline title examination procedures.
  10. Uphold strict confidentiality and manage sensitive information with professionalism and integrity.
  11. Collaborate with team members to improve internal processes and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the title examination practice.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in conveyancing, with a strong emphasis on title examinations.
  2. In-depth knowledge of title examination practices for all property types, including freehold, leasehold (with shared ownership), and new developments.
  3. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify potential title-related issues and propose effective solutions.
  4. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to articulate complex title examination findings clearly to clients and colleagues.
  5. Demonstrated capability to work independently and remotely, showcasing self-motivation and effective time-management skills to meet deadlines.
  6. Proficiency in legal software and databases pertinent to title examinations.
  7. A commitment to delivering high-quality work with a keen attention to detail to ensure accuracy in title examination reports.
  8. A thorough understanding of property laws, regulations, and guidelines associated with title examinations.
  9. Ability to adapt to evolving industry standards and embrace new technologies and tools.
