About the Role

TSR Legal is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Title Checker to join our dynamic remote team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and completeness of property title documentation, supporting our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Analyze Property Title Documents: Verify ownership, encumbrances, and other legal aspects of property title documents.
  • Verify Legal Descriptions and Ownership History: Ensure accuracy and completeness of legal descriptions, ownership history, and any encumbrances or liens on the property.
  • Conduct Research and Investigations: Resolve any discrepancies or issues with title documents through thorough research and investigations.
  • Collaborate with Senior Title Checkers and Legal Counsel: Address complex title issues and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing property titles.
  • Maintain Detailed Records: Organize and maintain detailed records of all title searches and findings.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate title findings and recommendations to internal teams and external clients.
Qualifications
  • Prior Experience: Prior experience in title searching, real estate transactions, or legal research is a plus.
  • Strong Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and analytical skills are essential for this role.
  • Remote Work Environment: Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in Online Databases: Proficiency in using online databases and tools for title research is necessary.
