Job Title: Senior Nurse Specialist

Devon and Cornwall Sexual Assault Referral Centres are seeking an experienced safeguarding nurse to join our multi-disciplinary paediatric and adult service teams. As a Senior Nurse Specialist, you will provide highly specialised advice and support on safeguarding issues, relating to Child Sexual Abuse, Sexual Violence and Domestic Abuse/Interpersonal Violence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safeguarding advice and support to staff within the SARC and wider organisation.
  • Work within the SARC to provide safeguarding advice and support for child protection and safeguarding adults concerns.
  • Assist the SARC, Trust and staff in their duty to protect children and adults from harm and abuse, working in line with safeguarding principles.
  • Deputise for the Lead Nurse/Safeguarding Lead in their absence and represent the SARC at Trust-wide and external meetings.
Requirements:
  • Experience in safeguarding and child protection.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures.
