English Language Examiner Role

**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled English Language Examiner to join our team. As an Examiner, you will be responsible for marking candidates' responses in accordance with the pre-defined mark scheme, while adhering to conditions of recognition and examination procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Mark accurately and consistently to ensure overall standards are maintained
* Submit samples to your Team Leader at designated times
* Ensure milestones for marking are adhered to
* Ensure all administration is completed as specified

**Requirements**

* One academic year's worth of teaching experience within the last 8 years, within the relevant qualification subject, since qualifying as a teacher
* A degree or equivalent
* Qualified teacher

**Competencies Required**

* Ability to work well under pressure
* Ability to meet deadlines
* High level of subject knowledge in order to apply the mark scheme

**Additional Information**

* The marking period is between May and July
* The training required to mark as an examiner will take place between May and June
