Job Title: Financial Director

Brookfield Asset Management is seeking a highly skilled Financial Director to join our Infrastructure European Portfolio Management team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the Regional CFO in building a 'best in class' finance function and overseeing all finance and reporting matters pertaining to the operating platform.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate financial and performance metrics to key stakeholders, including Brookfield senior leadership, to provide timely and high-quality financial reporting and analysis.
  • Oversee and sign-off on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting submissions, including management accounts, IFRS, lender, and private funds reporting.
  • Direct involvement in annual business planning and valuation processes for the European platform, collaborating with operating partners and portfolio companies on strategic plans and detailed review of complex financial models.
  • Track and analyze performance against the financial plan, identifying root causes for variance and establishing action plans as needed to ensure target performance is achieved.
  • Lead onboarding and integration of new assets into Brookfield finance and accounting processes, including overseeing preparation of opening balance sheets using purchase price accounting.
  • Review monthly liquidity forecasts, including distribution and capital planning, and support approval and execution of capital activity.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of operating businesses to provide insightful reporting to senior management, explaining performance and strategic issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Mentor Senior Financial Analysts.
  • Prepare specific analysis and special projects to support strategic decision-making, often working directly with investment, legal, tax, and investor relations teams.
Requirements:
  • ACCA or ACA qualification with Big 4 experience and at least 7 years of PQE experience; non-audit (advisory) experience ideal but not required.
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to review and update financial models.
