Financial Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Support Specialist to join our team at Dickson O'Brien Associates in Manchester City Centre.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Process and manage financial transactions, including invoices and cash handling.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including filing, data entry, and answering phone calls.
  • Manage the shared finance inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with cash office duties, including counting and reconciling cash and coin.
  • Contribute to the month-end process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Count and reconcile cash and coin, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Process and manage financial transactions, including invoices and credit card payments.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance team, including data entry, filing, and answering phone calls.
  • Manage the shared finance inbox and respond to queries in a timely manner.
  • Assist with cash handling and reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a finance or administrative role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • AAT qualification or equivalent experience.
