Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a fantastic Primary School in the heart of Lewisham. This is a long-term, full-time role with an ASAP start, offering a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and training in education.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide general classroom support to children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, working with a range of mild SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start a career in education, with a Schools Direct opportunity available to the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support children in the classroom, providing individualized attention and assistance as needed.
  2. Assist with lesson planning and preparation, helping to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.
  3. Work with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support children with SEN.
  4. Provide general administrative support, including maintaining records and communicating with parents.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

A degree from a reputable University.A clear passion for education and a hunger to learn.Good understanding of the Primary curriculum and general knowledge of SEN.Good academics, including GCSEs and A Levels.
