About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Youth Work Manager to lead our Senior A&E Navigator team at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a range of youth work activities and services to support young people aged 11-25 who have been victims of serious youth violence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of Navigators to provide youth work services and support to young people in the A&E department.
  • Develop and implement a range of youth work activities and services to meet the needs of young people, including recreational facilities, youth work activities, and peer support groups.
  • Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that young people receive the support and care they need.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies and organizations to ensure that young people receive the support and services they need.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of youth work services and make recommendations for improvement.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Professional qualifications in youth work or a related field.
  • Experience of working with young people from a variety of backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-professional team.
  • Leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement youth work programs and services.
