Our Theatre Support Workers are integral members of our healthcare teams, working in various dynamic environments, including community settings, acute hospitals, and theatre teams.

No prior experience or specific qualifications are necessary; what we value most is your commitment to providing exceptional patient care. Through our extensive training and induction program, you will quickly become a respected member of our team. Our dedication to your professional growth will cater to even the most ambitious individuals. Upon completing your training and gaining the requisite experience, you will have the opportunity to advance along the salary scale.

About the Team

The Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre (PEOC) Theatres is part of the Critical Care Cluster within the Surgical Services Division. Our facilities include five operating theatres, two of which are equipped with advanced laminar flow technology.

The department specializes in elective Orthopaedic procedures, including:

  • Hip surgeries
  • Knee surgeries
  • Sports injury treatments
  • Spinal surgeries
  • Upper limb surgeries
  • Hand and wrist procedures
  • Foot and ankle surgeries
  • Pediatric orthopaedics

Our recovery unit provides immediate post-operative care for patients following various types of anaesthesia. The intensive care unit is conveniently located adjacent to the orthopaedic theatres.

Work Schedule:

The department operates Monday to Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm (6 pm on Saturdays). Shifts typically consist of three 8 am to 6 pm shifts and one 11 am to 8 pm shift. Depending on your schedule, additional pay enhancements may apply.
