AP Lifting Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lifting and Rigging Specialist to join our team at Dragados UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for directing and supervising lifting operations and work of operators, ensuring the safe and efficient completion of site/project functions.
Key Responsibilities- Assume responsibility for the efficient, timely, and accurate completion of site/project functions.
- Oversee field operations, heavy lifts, lift planning, scheduling of maintenance activities, and engineering activities.
- Supervise the scheduling and delivery of site/project services.
- Monitor and supervise operational quality, safety, and efficiency.
- Identify potential problems and solutions to resolve them quickly and effectively.
- Regulate work flow to ensure optimal service delivery.
- Monitor crane scheduling to ensure that services are completed according to deadlines.
- Write procedure documents and complete related reports and records.
- Produce and review method statements, ITPs, construction processes, engineering specifications, set out and measurements, and quality control, certificate, and compliances.
- Supervise the allocation and distribution of necessary materials and supplies.
- Ensure that services are delivered in accordance with established performance, safety, and quality standards.
- Assume responsibility for maintaining effective communication, coordination, and working relations with the wide HS2 Project staff and management teams.
- Work closely with purchasing, engineering, and sales departments to maintain schedules and implement changes and revisions in operational procedures.
- Provide assistance and support to Engineering, Procurement, and Operational departments as required.
- Keep Project Management informed of site/project activities and any significant problems.
- Maintain daily logs of activities and quality cross-over notes from meetings and site activities.
- Degree or higher level or equivalent in a numerate discipline, typically an Engineering discipline.
- 5 years' experience as Crane Coordinator or similar Safety Critical position for significant civil engineering construction project.
- Excellent track record of project delivery: safely, to timescale, quality, and cost.
- Demonstrable experience of leadership, building, and motivating teams.
- Excellent presentation, negotiation, organisational skills, ability to plan and manage own time.
- Proficient at planning and scheduling work, must be able to prioritise and develop realistic action plans.
- SMSTS qualification.
- CSCS Card.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), management, and organisational skills and the ability to plan ahead and manage work time frames.
- Good working knowledge of the Health and Safety regulations and the relevant legislation.
- Working understanding of NEC form of contract.
- Strong understanding of crane functions, capabilities, and standards.
- Fulfils HS2 values: leadership, respect, integrity, and safety.
