About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Construction Manager to join our team at SSEN Transmission. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction and commissioning of major transmission overhead lines in the East of Scotland.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the project is executed in accordance with relevant requirements, including statutory and legal obligations, health and safety, and quality and technical compliance.
  • Interact proactively with contractors and the operations team to ensure works are delivered to the project programme, in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Develop effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, and the community, acting as a leader on site and champion for an effective and collaborative safety culture.
Requirements
  • A strong knowledge of electrical plant installation and testing, cabling and wiring standards, and IEE regulations.
  • A strong engineering and construction knowledge, including safety and CDM regulations.
  • HND qualified in engineering or construction management, and experience in site management of similarly complex works in construction/utilities and/or electrical installation.
