Interim Director of Housing Management Opportunity

Osborne Richardson is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Housing Management to join one of our London local authority clients. This exciting opportunity will provide strategic leadership to a department of circa 500 staff, working closely with the Assistant Director of Housing Assets and Assistant Director of Neighbourhoods and Customer Service to deliver an excellent housing management service to residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead on the development of housing management and property investment strategies to support improved services for tenants and leaseholders.
  • Manage the Housing Operations directorate, ensuring effective recruitment, training, and development of staff.
  • Monitor and appraise performance, keeping structures under review.
  • Interim line management of the Council's corporate landlord function, providing leadership to Assistant Director reports.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification and a proven track record in delivering major housing delivery projects within a Local Authority setting.
  • Technical skills in surveying or a property background.
