Senior Staff Nurse

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a secure setting, working autonomously to coordinate care needs and provide expert generalist care. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently within established parameters.
Main Responsibilities- Provide expert generalist care within the primary care setting, including Public Health Nursing and First Contact nursing for adults and children.
- Specialize in chronic disease management, working autonomously in the prison premises to coordinate care needs.
- Delegate duties to junior staff, including junior registered nurses, healthcare support workers, and student nurses.
- Support junior staff in their sphere of responsibility, contributing to the Continuing Professional Development of Practice Nursing and other Primary Care staff.
- Deliver sensitive information during clinical consultations, discuss and facilitate patients' decision-making processes, and utilize motivational and negotiating techniques to encourage patients to follow best treatment plans.
